Fire Extinguishers with Plastic Handles Recalled

Fire Extinguishers with Plastic Handles Recalled

Just issued last week was a massive recall on a fire extinguisher that is reported to be in more than 40 million homes. The extinguishers are being recalled because they may not function properly in emergency situations.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission claims that the recall covers 134 Kidde push button and plastic-handle fire extinguishers made from 1973 through August 15 of this year.

The extinguishers can become clogged and fail to spray when needed and the nozzle has come off with such force to pose an injury hazard that includes death.
